I didn't actually think that many people would be interested in who I am, but since you're here I guess it's a good job I've put together a little bit about me.

My name is Stephen Millard and I'm the author and maintainer of Thought Asylum which is at the end of the day a place for me to write about things that interest me and I think might be interesting to others.

By day I'm an ICT professional living in the city of York in the UK. By night I also do IT stuff for fun (like this site) as well as teaching the Japanese martial art of Jiu Jitsu and spending time with family and friends.

So that's me in a nutshell, but there are some other things around on this site that you might be interested in...

  1. If you are interested in my resume/CV, then look no further than my online curriculum vitae. If you think you have an opportunity or job offer I may be interested in then by all means e-mail me.
  2. If you're a friend, then I'm active on a few social networks and you can find links to these over on the left of the page.
  3. If you fall into this third category I guess you're just here either by mistake or for some other insidious reason. If so, welcome and try and pick from one of the previous two categories instead.
